Yes indeed there was a "Squirrel Town" and as a child I would go there often. I even have pictures of me feeding a fawn deer almonds and letting it sip coca-cola from a cup. She also had crows that would talk and very tame blue jays that would talk.gage dunkerley, tampa floridanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24914557.post-25101854545316851692007-12-03T10:35:00.000-06:002007-12-03T10:35:00.000-06:00I have been to squirrel town. There used to be all kinds of critters in the store, deer, squirrels, coons... that was about thirty five years ago.

Leta Fay drove a white Caddy and had a pistol on each hip. She used to chase us on our dirt bikes. I think this place was very much like "Planet of the Apes" but on a far less ambitious scale.John Rozumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03626209473214085436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24914557.post-67682917294545141432007-08-29T06:52:00.000-05:002007-08-29T06:52:00.000-05:00The owner of Squirrel Town, Leta Fay Williams, "wa...The owner of Squirrel Town, Leta Fay Williams, "was a Deputy Sheriff, was instrumental in keeping the Post Office in town, and [also] operated Vacation Village."
