PERKINS PANCAKE HOUSE MENU

FLEA MARKET FRIDAYS #20

This Perkins Pancake House menu is from Minneapolis, Minnesota and is probably from the late 50's or early 60's.

  1. If this is the same chain I'm thinking of there was one not too far from my old house NC. My grandpa and I used to go there when I was a teenager. It was also a place to hang out believe it or not. It was open late so people would congregate there while cruising.

  2. Nice find!

So can a WAFFLE Whiffer enjoy a pancake place too?

Thanks for the menu. I enjoy seeing things like that and with the internet it's interesting to see the connection between places. I'm here in Minneapolis, looking at a menu, from a resturant that I've been too, posted on a site, run by a guy in a fictional city. How cool it that?

That Perkins is still at that location. It might be the same building, although it's been modernized with glass and a ramp to make it handicap accessible. They still serve lots of pancakes but they don't quite have that variety. Coconut, indeed.

I like their ham and cheese omellete. That's some good smoked ham. It comes with three buttermilk pancakes and hash browns. And toast! It's more than a normal person should eat for a meal. Their Country Fried Steak is good too, but it's a silent killer, squeezing your arteries closed as you sleep.

I enjoy your blog and enjoy the stuff you look at. Thanks for writing some of it down.
