Back in 2003, that newfangled potato chip from the late 1960's finally gave us a Halloween themed can and it was everything any fan of the spooky season would want. The can was beautifully designed in orange and black with bats, cats, and a haunted house. Plus the chips themselves were orange. Apparently a few consumers were confused thinking they should be cheese flavor but no they were just the plain ol' regular chips.
A glow-in-the-dark can? How cool is that? I wish I hadn't missed that.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Tom -- the glow-in-the-dark can is awesome. if i had been the designer, i would've made it so you could cut the can a certain way and use the GITD section as decoration. they don't use that sort of thing nearly enough anymore. Now i want Pringles. (hey, marketing works!)
ReplyDeleteCame back today to say that while grocery shopping last night i checked the snack aisle and spied a Dia de los Muertos-themed Pringles can the was labeled as "glow in the dark", complete with a female dancing skeleton in an elaborate Mexican-style dress, so while they may not be doing a Halloween thing this year, they are definitely doing something with the idea.
