“That’s no moon. It’s a space cookie.”
A special Star Wars memory for me was when my grandma made me a Death Star cookie!
She used the recipe found inside Darth Vader’s Activity Book and I tried to help her the best I could. You can see some of my handy work on the second page of the recipe. I ended up spilling milk on the page and you can see I tried to repair it with crayons.
Yesterday evening, I helped my wife make a Death Star cookie and luckily this time I didn't spill the milk.
The recipe makes two cookies and they're good enough for any Jabba size appetite! (Click on the photos for a closer look.)
Now you can make your very own Death Star cookie. Enjoy!

just don't try to eat the death star as it's blowing up, that could mess up your teath real good.
OMG I have been looking for this recipe for FOREVER. I used to have this activity book, and made the cookies with my mom a few times...of course, the book disappeared and I thought the recipe was gone forever. Thank you for putting this up!
Can't wait to get my Death Star cookie on!
Johnny - You're right. I'll need to be careful when eating it!
Andrew - Glad to do it and the cookie tastes just the same like when we were kids. My wife had a lot fun baking 'em!
This is great. I had this same book, and remember the cookie vividly. Awesome. Thanks for the post.
Thanks a million, Todd! I was pleasantly surprised to find this as the first Google hit for "Death Star Cookies"! My wife and I are preparing to make these for my two-year-old son today (a huge star wars fan!)
I have fond memories of making these as a kid with my mom and then showing 'em off in school. It was awesome pulling out this huge Death Star cookie from my lunchbox!
So thanks for the recipe and for keeping the tradition alive!
Me too--been looking for this FOREVER! Had the book, made the cookie! Yum! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
I'm so glad I found this. I have been looking for something to eat during my long awaited star wars marathon with some other Star wars fanatics and I (I being probably the biggest of them all). I probably would have gotten the book if I was alive when if came out!
I remember that!!!! I had one!!! Thanks for this trip down memory lane, I made one for me and my boys :D
Now, just to do the Death Star II in Return of the Jedi, hmmmmmm.
Oh boy, I am going to have to make a batch of these. See if my kids will have as much of a thrill from it as I did.
OMG I too have been looking for this for ages thanks for putting it her. I have linked to the page from facebook so everyone can try these delicious treats..... After searching for years " I have you now "
Wow.. i just scanned my copy of the recipe from the activity book - and discovered that the coloring of your copy is different than mine
while yours have red on both pages, mine is more copper brown on the first page, and blue on the second.
