In 2009, Ritz released Halloween Ritz with three different spooky cracker patterns. You could spread your peanut butter or cheese spread over a ghost, Jack O'Lantern, or witch's cauldron. I believe this was the one and only time Ritz dressed up for the Halloween season. It's a great box especially the eye catching front.
The back of the box is less exciting but at least they gave us something like this spider web pizza spread recipe. Kinda like getting an apple or those peanut butter kisses in your trick or treat bag. You're grateful but you'd rather have a Snickers bar or in this case a cut-out mask that matches one of the cracker designs. Collect all 3 masks etc etc. Okay getting carried away here. See ya tomorrow!
Love when companies do things like this. Wish more did. Why not add a little fun to the doldrums of daily life - especially at the holidays!
ReplyDeleteI agree, Joe. Is it me, or is Halloween packaging on the downtrend? Sure, there's some cereal and cookie options, but overall, it seems like companies aren't creating Halloween-themed packaging like they did 20 years or more ago.
DeleteYes, we need more brands to make their products stand out and be fun during the holidays. It's a win win for everyone!!
