CHECK BACK LATER TODAY FOR MORE TRON

Tron Week is almost over, but before the big derez, I need to put together my review of Tron Legacy and post some leftover stuff. So come back later today for some more Tron goodies.

SEE WALTER CRONKITE GET ZAPPED INTO THE TRON UNIVERSE

Many years before VCRs and DVRs, my brother and I recorded lots of audio from old TV shows. One of our old audio tapes has a snippet from Walter Cronkite's science TV show Universe. In this episode, Walter learns about computer effects and is turned into a program just like Tron. For years I wished this would show up on DVD or YouTube. My wish was granted when I found it on YouTube last year.

TRON SOUNDTRACK

My beat up soundtrack album of Tron. Such a unique and excellent soundtrack by Wendy Carlos. Here's an ad for the soundrack out of Starlog magazine.

I'm equally enjoying the Daft Punk scored Tron Legacy soundtrack.

TRON LEGACY LINK OF THE DAY #7

It was fun following all the back story thru the Tron Legacy ARG game from Flynn Lives. Look around on the Flynn Lives site and then visit Tron: Legacy - ARG/Viral wiki for the complete time line. Be sure to click on all the links.

TRON TRADING CARD #7

This is my favorite card from the set! I'm not sure why, but man it just looks too cool!

As a bonus, here's a set of Tron round trading cards that were part of a promotion by York Peanut Butter and only available in Canada. Tron-Sector has an image of the poster.

HUGO MAN OF A THOUSAND FACES: TRON LEGACY DELETED SCENE

You never know where Hugo Man of a Thousand faces will show up. The Kenner toy from the 1970's makes his return in the new Tron Legacy movie. Unfortunately, his bit part was left on the cutting room floor.

For the Tron Legacy Link of the Day #6 -

You can make your own deleted scene by visiting the Tron facebook page and use the Get on the Grid app. All you need is a face to upload and presto that face is driving a light cycle!

TRON MIXED-UP MAZES

What kid doesn't love mazes? I know I was maze crazy as a kid. Heck, I was even a Atari Maze Craze champ for pete's sake. So a book of Tron mazes was just the thing keep me busy for hours. Here's a few mixed-up maze examples from this fine book.

HARRISON ELLENSHAW TRON MATTE PAINTING ARTIST 1982 INTERVIEW

An excellent interview with the amazing matte painting artist Harrison Ellenshaw who worked on the Star Wars films and Tron along with many other films. Fun to hear Harrison talk about Tron 2!
