Jaws mania wasn't just a summer thing in 1975 and here's the proof it lasted into the Halloween season when many kids became "Land Sharks" and donned a Jaws costume to go trick or treating!

Not only were they wearing Jaws costumes they were also carving Jaws-O-Lanterns!

Jaws was SO huge. It's hard to describe to those who weren't there how quickly the entire culture became Jaws-centric, but it felt like it was overnight. I didn't dress as Jaws -- i probably didn't know anything about the movie, since i was only 8, but i'm sure i knew there was a shark mania going on. LAND SHARK!!
The alternative kid would have dressed as "Quinn" and packed a blood capsule in his mouth to replicate Quinn's final scene.
The homemade versions are rough but still way better than the mass produced one! It is good for nostalgia and maybe hanging on the wall.
