This is one of my favorite postcards in my theater collection and this real photo card is of the first drive-in movie theater in California. In 1934 when it first opened the name was simply Drive-In Theatre. The name was changed to the Pico Drive-In Theatre since more drive-ins were sprouting up.

Oooo, thanks for this Todd. Now I'm trying to imagine where a drive-in could've possibly been located at Pico and Westwood in LA. I think I have pretty good idea though, I used to work nearish that intersection.
