One of my favorite drive-in intermission films is this animated Dr. Pepper one with the witch doctor. At the end you'll see the Dr. Pepper St. Bernard and I noticed that someone listed this sign on ebay featuring the St. Bernard character. I wonder if it came from an old drive-in?
Having to wonder about this for quite some time, I bothered trying to search for more info I can on this subject.
I guess Dr Pepper felt they needed an animal mascot type during the early 60's or whenever so they used this St. Bernard character they called "Frosty Dog". He of course shows up in that familiar intermission feel seen above.
Here's a webpage with some images of the pooch and his son/nephew also seen in these ads... http://www.drpepperpictures.com/misc.htm
