CASPER'S GHOSTLAND SIGN

I love that sign. I actually went as Casper for Halloween back in the late 60s-early 70s, when Capser was probably at his peak of popularity.

John - Have you seen the Kevin Costner movie A Perfect World? The kid gets a Casper Halloween costume.

While I've seen these sold on eBay as store displays, the one I've got is part of a trick-or-treat bag, with a Collegeville showroom tag. I don't think they were ever actually sold at the time (though I do have another cool treat bag of the same taffeta/vacuform construction that does seem to have been used). I think the piece you've got just never quite got that far in the process, but the rounded corners at the bottom only and lack of any provision for hanging suggest to me that it was never intended as signage. But whatever its purpose, I think we can agree that it's AWESOME.
