I purchased this book about the mother road on the mother road at a classic trading post back in September.

You can get your kicks on Route 66 without even leaving your sofa when you read Images of 66 by David Wickline. It has 386 pages that go in order from the beginning of Route 66 in Chicago, Illinois and ending at Santa Monica, California. Using current color photos the author doesn’t miss much with snaps of old signs, buildings and just the pavement of the old road. Each photo has a quick caption with helpful info.

Besides being a pretty picture book, it’s also a handy dandy guide to take along when you’re traveling Route. 66.

I didn’t see it listed on Amazon, but you can go to Roadside 66 to order.
