1979 HALLOWEEN CAKES BY WILTON

Here's some Halloween cakes and accessories from the 1979 Wilton Yearbook for Cake Decorating.

I love the cake with the giant monster ghost scaring the frosting out of the little trick or treaters!

That is the least haunted looking haunted forest cake I've ever seen, but man do I love that bedsheet ghost cake topper.

When were you in my mom's house???

I grew up with these books always around and I was always perusing them and looking at the ideas inside. She had taken cake decorating as a class and was quite good at it, made some masterpieces.

That final pic is one of the books I flipped through hundreds of times.

Cool stuff. :)

I work at Michaels the arts & craft store. We sell alot of Wilton products, including recent cake decorating books. It's interesting to see the products change over the years. And there is no mention anywhere of fondant!I'm an icing purist so it's nice to see actual icing!
