MONSTER MOTEL BUSINESS CARD

For fun I made up this business card for the Monster Motel. (Click on the card for a closer look)

Since most business cards use swiped or borrowed artwork, I decided to do the same. I used the monster from the classic 48" Talking Monster from Outer Space comic book ad.

There’s a reason I used those specific numbers for the address. Can anyone guess why? I'm sure most any monster fan will know!

What would your pal Lurch think of you using the Munsters' address? He'd probably not invite you out Lurch dancin' anymore.

Mike - Nope the address is not the Munsters address, but the phone number is a homage to 'em. Of course Lurch is a welcomed guest at the Monster Motel when he’s passing thru Neato Coolville. Each time he shows up with his posse of go-go dancers everyone ends up doing The Lurch Dance!

I thought those Addams wannabees live at 1313 Mockingbird Ln. My 60's sitcom knowledge might be a little off today.

Oops. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. I looked at the phone number instead of the address. Must be too much strawberry milk!

Cool card! If you print them up make sure to send me some!

Also, I know why you used those numbers--- so you could drive some of us absolutely CRAZY trying to figure it out! And if it's one of those things where it's so obvious I'll feel like a total a-hole then please don't reveal the answer...

Wow Todd, nice job on the card. Re-using that spot illustration was a great idea and it works perfect.

Some day I think I'm going to have to invent time travel so I can take a trip back to when a good portion of all this 'universally' monster craziness started, but until then I think I'll just skip out and watch Dracula again.

Shawn obviously got the address allusion. I'm not surprised. Good ol' Valentine's Day, 1931 when Universal's "Dracula" was released. No wonder I love monsters so much.

Great business card. Please book me a room for the month of October.

Mike - Too much strawberry milk can do that!

Steve - I'll mail one if I get 'em printed.

Shawn - You guessed it! Nice way to answer it. When you build that time travel machine please invite me!

John - That's right it's the release date of Dracula as Shawn hinted at. We'll set you up in room number 13 this October.
