NEW YORK, NEW YORK IS A H-E-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICK OF A TOWN

A couple of weeks ago we vacationed in New York City and had a King Kong of a good time! We probably crammed in three weeks of site seeing into one week. NYC is an amazing experience and everyone in this big blue world of ours should try to visit at least once in their lives. This was my second time, but first time to play tourist. Here’s a few snaps that I took from our visit -

I gotta say NYC folks are good people as everyone was super nice. We were greeted with smiles all over the city and complete strangers helped us find our way when we got lost. Now I know why so many people wear those “I Heart NY” shirts.

Besides all the historical sites, museums and entertainment - the best thing in the city just might be Mister Softee.

I think the pictures from our first trip were more impressive! I'll take pics of Silver Age comic artists any day over landmarks, except maybe the Unisphere. Nice Bat angle on the stadium.

I <3 the Unisphere.

Great photos! I too have made two trips to NYC and each time I am astounded by the experience!

PS -- Looking forward to this year's Neato Coolville Halloween countdown!

I recoil in horror at the Mr. Softee truck. When I used to live in Brooklyn, the Mr. Softee trucks used to congregate outside one of the many apartments I'd occupied. So every day, for several hours in a row, I'd have to listen to that Mr. Softee theme music over and over and over and over again. Somehow, no matter how many trucks were there, it was always in synch between them.

I'm really glad that you enjoyed NYC.

Mike - Yeah, especially now that some of those great artists are now deceased.

Dane - Now that's saying something from a great photographer like yourself. Thanks for the nice compliment!

Steve - Yeah, it's an experience alright! Yes, I've started throwing some Halloween stuff together. Thanks!

Viewliner - Thanks for the comment!

Rozum - Funny story and I can see how that would drive a person nuts!

I love your dramatic upshot of the Unisphere. I'm glad to see they still have the fountains running. It still takes my breath away.
